Dancer Room
September 9, 2011
Color makes this room and the theme of dancing is set by the hanging letters above the bed. Find these letters here.
A charming chandelier acts the the finishing touch to this room. Find similar chandeliers and lamps on our products pages.
Notice the single buttercup yellow pillow makes the bed pop.

Americana and Bears
September 9, 2011
Americana and Teddy Bears meet in this wonderful girl’s room.
An old door, painted a rustic red, is used as a headboard.
Inexpensive stencils in stars and strips are used to bring color to this room.

Can’t find art that you like? Here the stars and stripes have been applied and then framed. A quick do it yourself piece. Since it is a primitive piece you can’t make a mistake.
Search for other possible decor in our rooms by color: Red, White or Blue.

Circles in Child’s Nursery
September 9, 2011
More circles, this time using varying sizes.
Diamond squares inside the circles were made of felt and glued in the center.
Use a fine point paint brush to connect a vertical line between the circles. It appears that the circles are floating from the ceiling.
Your color may not be brown—but consider the colors of your room.
This provides a great graphic element to your room. Consider also including a dotted vinyl wall words with your child’s name.

Cut round 14″ circles from hardboard and paint.
Hardboard can be found at any home improvement store and is very inexpensive.
These were fastened to the wall with tiny nails.
Super easy! Choose one color of dots or use many colors. In this case, we used brown.

Tropical Jungle Room
September 9, 2011
Sometimes using wall paper on two walls is a great way to make a room pop.
A solid color coverlet is used rather than the tropical pattern—it makes the room less busy. The pattern is picked up in the dust ruffle and pillows.
You can find more animal art and inexpensive stuffed animals to complete the look.

Two garden flamingos were mounted on a board and the board was painted white.

Yellow Princess
September 9, 2011
Wallpaper is making a comeback. The upper 2/3 of the wall is wallpaper and the bottom is in a matching yellow—white bead board trim separates the two.
The trick is to create visual impact. Flower wall pegs are used with princess boas, necklaces, hats, and veils. These same pegs can be found on our pegs page.

Garden Trellis Room
September 9, 2011
There are several things that we like about this room.
First, inexpensive solid color bedding is used and mixed with floral and solid color pillows.
Three very inexpensive plates are used over the twin bed. In our photo archive we have several rooms, where plates have been used very effectively.
A shade slightly lighter than the bedding is used on the walls—not the exact color.
A garden trellis from the home store was used and decorated with a lilac floral vine.

Pink Room
September 9, 2011
Kristina Bailey has created two charming ballet pieces that harmonize in this oh so pink room. Shades of pink layer this room and create a boudoir that is very feminine.
The art is perfect for the nursery but transcends infancy into the school years. We like how these two pieces are grouped together to cover the length of this long wall. Click here to buy Kristina’s art.
