Butterfly Room Decor

butterfly Butterfly Room DecorA beautiful Butterfly Room. I pulled together some of my favorite pieces for an adorable little girls room full of butterflies.

First, is this vinyl tree with butterflies flying around. You can choose from over 45 colors for the tree and butterflies. In addition, you can add this cursive Butterfly Dreams name above the tree print or elsewhere in the room.

The print is easy to apply and remove. Vinyl sticker can adhere to moderate textured surfaces.

There is tons of Butterfly Art to choose from, but these prints are my favorite. I love the canvas collage and different paint techniques that merges abstract and natural elements. Graphic artist, Lori Siebert’s paints in pastel colors in a four part of a series – Purple, Orange, Green and Blue. Who wouldn’t love a springtime girls butterfly room?

And lastly, let’s finish it off with a butterfly rug. Again, there are a few rugs to choose from with butterfly prints, but this Papillion Butterfly Rug is simple and bright.

I can picture a chic, pink room based around a tea party setup where your little princess can have many afternoons of giggles, dress-up and make believe with friends or stuffed animals. Here are some other ideas that could add to a Tea Party Princess Room:

- Add a few princess poofs to hang on some wall pegs. Invite some friends for a play date and give each of them a poof to wear. They will LOVE feeling all dolled up like real princesses.

- I’m a huge fan of this crown pink chandelier. You could put this above a small table for a tea party. The crown shaped chandelier with little diamonds would add a huge sparkle.

- Customize your princess room with a vinyl crown cutout with their name. Choose any color. You can put this on the wall next to the bed or next to a little table.

- Add a rug underneath a little table. I really like this chic brocade pink rug. Or if you are looking for a round rug, this shaggy pink rug would be a fun choice.

Leggo Wall

leggo Leggo WallWant your own wall art project? I saw this on Pinterest which was also shown on HGTV. Buy a TON of LEGGOs and adhere the green, flat pieces to the wall. You can then build anything you want. It looks like it would quite a project, glueing each of those to the wall, but it would be worth it. Maybe pick one wall or even a portion of a wall for your LEGGO creation to go. Make sure to include a large bin for all little bits and pieces. Also, don’t let the little, little ones around as it could be a big choking hazard. But I see kids and grown-ups alike loving this!

Chandeliers In Nurseries

blog chand Chandeliers In Nurseries

I LOVE elegant, classy nurseries. They can be so beautiful. One of the best ways to dress up a nursery is with a chandelier. Hang the chandelier above the crib or in the middle of the room. Search for girls and boys chandeliers.

Raspberry Pizzazz Room

rasberry room Raspberry Pizzazz Room

Remember the use of multiple fabrics. Here you see white linens and accent pillow, pink solid neck roll, light pink tailored dust ruffle and window seat cover, a dramatic raspberry dot coverlet, and a pink harlequin window treatment.

The art brings all of the color together. We like how these two 12″x12″ pieces flank the larger 20″x24″ personalized art—together they cover the length of this long wall. One of the things we see, constantly, is the poor use of scale, the art is too small for the area it should visually cover.

Here’s the best tip—use masking tape to mark the area you need to cover. Measure the area. Eye balling usually doesn’t work–use the tape, step back, adjust if necessary, and measure. Use one large piece of art or several in a grouping and you won’t be found guilty of the crime of “poor scale.”
